Visited SAM this afternoon for the Xu Beihong exhibition. i've always felt an affinity towards him cos 几百年前, 我们是一家人。So, glad that i finally went for the exhibition! Even glader that i did not have to pay for admission! hehe. SAM offers free admission during weekday lunch hours (1200 - 1400hrs). Just enter during that time and you can stay till it closes! What a great deal! Yay! :) But too bad i had another appointment, else i could have made my money's (erm... effort, i mean) worth! :p
Nope. This is not my fav painting. It's just that photograpy is not allowed in the gallery. So i took a shot of the painting that was on posters everywhere. i guess "Put Down Your Whip" was chosen to be the "face" of the exhibition cos it was sold last year for a record HK$72 million(!!) for a Chinese oil painting and it was completed in Singapore in 1939.
