今天在回家途中在地铁车厢里，飘来一股熟惜的味道，是一位好久没见的友人常用的衣物柔软济的香味。可惜此味非彼味，找不到香味的主人，却不禁让我想起那位友人。。。你是否也会因气味而联想到某些人呢？

First office event of the year. i'm very happy cos i'm finally not the organiser! Things are so much more enjoyable when someone else is in charge. :)

Sizzler

Long time since i last ate at Sizzler. This was quite popular more than 10years ago... i had liked their salad bar then. Didn't know that there's a branch at TPY. Anyway, ex-boss QQ treated me and SL to lunch. Thank you! :)

Most of the quick lunches are about $18++ which includes the main course, salad bar and drink.

This is my Swiss Chicken. Taste as yummy as it looks! :)

SL's Grilled Salmon. i took a bite and it is quite nicely cooked, not too raw and not overdone; just nice.

QQ's steak

i forgot to take a pic of my salad bar plate. This is QQ's and it is sooooo much nicer looking than mine.

The ice cream. i like the choc chips better than the ice cream... haa...

Okinawan Diner Nirai-Kanai

Decided to give this restaurant at Liang Court B1 a try. Ordered the ginger pork set which comes with handmade peanut tofu, miso paste with pork, seaweed soup and rice. It is stated on the menu that they use premium rice from Hiroshima port. It really taste very oishii! i finished every single grain. hehe.


The peanut tofu (top right) is very oishii too! It doesn't taste like normal tofu. The texture is more like pudding. Yummy! The tiny lob of miso paste with pork is also very nice. Taste like those bean paste canned pork cubes. The main dish (ginger pork) is nice too. But slightly on the salty side so must eat with the yummy rice.

Quite a surprisingly good dinner. Will go back again to try out other stuff.

The place is so retro. :)

Haagen Daz

This is one place in JP that is always empty. Thanks to R for the treat! (^^,) The chocolate fondue is huge! Portion should be just nice for 3-4 people. Was abit over for 2... Especially for R as he had to eat all the carb-loaded bananas since i don't / can't eat them. But then he is so skinny, he can afford to. Lucky i didn't have lunch after gym but was really full after the afternoon snack. So had a really tiny dinner which was like just 2hrs later. :p

Saizeriya (Revisited)

Tried this out again. Ordered the Seafood gratin ($7.18++). Lots of seafood. Very value for money and taste nice too. Didn't realise on the menu that there are mushrooms in this seafood gratin so i was very pleasantly surprised. :)


Added on a Healthy meal set ($5.88++) which consist of a small green salad (taste normal) and a soup. i chose the minestrone vegetable soup cos i thought corn and the seafood chowder would be too much since i'm eating the gratin. Soup looks and tasted a little diluted. But i like the hearty chunks of vegetables in the soup. :)




And we shared the glazed escargots ($5.58++). First time eating snails.. hee... not bad quite nice... taste quite similar to shell fish which makes sense since snails have shell too... haa...


YZ ate the dunno what clam vongole spaghetti. Sauce not tomatoey enough but the spaghetti (ie noodle) itself is the nicest i've ate! Very chewy. Very al dente. Pity about the sauce. Oh the tiramisu is not bad too.

Heard this song a couple of times and thought it is quite nice. Saw the mv for the first (and second) time today. YZ said the mv is real sad and almost cry everytime she saw it. Gosh... it's true... me too... :'(

[Side track] Realised that quite a number of people also go to ktv in pairs. Although with more people might be more fun and not as stressful on the vocal cord, just 2 is just as fun. And time really flies when singing. Initially felt that there is lots of time but in a twinkle of an eye, time is gone and there are so many songs not sung! And today's condition is the best in months! Argh!

ハンサム★スーツ Handsome Suit

i find the show a little slow paced but overall quite entertaining though cliche. And i think is quite meaningful... People usually sees things on the surface level. i know i do. Have to learn to see things a little deeper beyond the pretty exterior to appreciate the little things that we might have missed otherwise.

Din Tai Fung

Decided to give this a try since mummy and i both had not tried this at JP. It was way after lunch so the place is quite empty.

Ordered the shrimp and pork dumpling

xiao long bao

Yam xiao long bao which looks very much like the former

Mushroom and minced pork la mian - huge disappointment

Mango pudding and fungus with papaya - the mango pudding is very yucky

The skin of the dumpling and xiao long bao is very tough. There is more soup in the bao but it does not help to compensate for the lack in the wow factor. Overall i think Crystal Jade Xiao Long Bao upstairs is nicer.

The Evening My Tired Muscles Were Forgotten

Deliberately chose to take a later train on the way back from gym cos i knew there would be seats. But didn't know i would be sitting opposite a really really cute guy! Nice, clean looking guy. The train was so quiet i could almost hear his breathing. Awww.. and we were both very shy so we kept looking away. i can't be staring at him the whole journey right? Though i wish i could! But he would think i'm psycho. Anyway, he got down 3 stops earlier than me. End of story.

Baby Foot

Was intrigued by this ever since i saw it in the market. It promises to peel those dead skin on your feet and viola, baby feet in turn! But the original pack is so ex! Even for the cheaper easy pack, i also have to consider for a while. i've got some die-hard on-off dead skin on my feet for the longest time. It is time to get rid of them! So i got a pack and finally used it last Sat. Am i ever so glad to see my feet peeling! haha. The dead skin is peeling like nobody's business. i'm a snake! i took some photos of the progress of the feet. It's really gross and yucky. i'll post them if i decide that the world's ready for some horror photos of my snaky feet. ha!
