anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn’t he danced his did
Women and men(both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn’t they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain
children guessed(but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more
when by now and tree by leaf
she laughed his joy she cried his grief
bird by snow and stir by still
anyone’s any was all to her
someones married their everyones
laughed their cryings and did their dance
(sleep wake hope and then) they
said their nevers they slept their dream
stars rain sun moon
(and only the snow can begin to explain
how children are apt to forget to remember
with up so floating many bells down)
one day anyone died i guess
(and noone stooped to kiss his face)
busy folk buried them side by side
little by little and was by was
all by all and deep by deep
and more by more they dream their sleep
noone and anyone earth by april
wish by spirit and if by yes.
Women and men(both dong and ding)
summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came
sun moon stars rain
(the poem that 小静 and Rose recited)

Ichiban Boshi @ Velocity
Was starving after the workout and 15 shots at archery so ordered the Sukiyaki Zen set. Also shared soft shell crab tempura which was ordinary.
But my jaw almost dropped when i saw my Sukiyaki set. The set comprises of claypot beef with assorted vegetables and mushrooms, a small portion of udon, appetiser, 4 slices of salmon sashimi, miso soup with an enormous serving of kelp, rice and 2 slices of watermelon. Not to forget a raw egg dip for the beef. The portion is BIG! Enough to feel two girls!
Special mentions:
Sashimi - very fresh, thick and crunchy! oishii!
Sukiyaki - the beef was very tender and succulent. my only "beef" (pun intended. :D) was that the slices are cut too longish and the whole lump was dumped into the pot before serving. i had to take out the whole chunk of beef before it was overcooked and became tough. it might be better if it was like the beef kaminabe that my friend ordered where she did the "cooking" herself. The soup was a little salty. Other than that, I really could not find any other fault in the food today.
Cost of the Set: $15.90 ++
Satisfaction on my face after finishing the set minus half a bowl of rice: Priceless! :)

Archery @ Velocity Novena
Tried out archery in the mall! yeap! that's right! no typo mistake. We were surprised to see this indoor archery range while walking around the mall after gym. With just $20 spending at the mall, you can have 5 shots. We simply grabbed the chance to try it out! Archery happens to be one of the items under my endless want-to-try list! My very first shot was a bulls-eye! Hehe! Robin Hood in the making i thought! :P but sad to say that the rest of my 14 shots were dismal.... guess its only beginner's luck ba..... had thought it might be similar to air-rifle.... but then it's been ages since my shooting days too... and after my workout too.... arms aching... haa.........
i think velocity is trying to build up its image as a sports niche. there's going to be a beach festival from 5-9 sept where they'll bring sand to the mall to play beach volleyball! yup! there's really nothing they can't do! after the wrestling in cocoa powder, archery and beach volleyball! lol. i guess the management is trying very hard to bring in the crowds.

Movie "881"
a roller coaster ride of emotions... filled with fun, laughter and tears. i enjoyed myself thru the movie. a pity on the handling of emotions though... the build-up to the ending was a little too rushed imo... i was like "huh? ended le??" hee.... overall, go in and enjoy the elaborate costumes, glittery sets, getai songs and the hokkien jokes.

《天冷就回来》 If There're Seasons...
A musical feast that captures your heart, a lyrical journey beyond imagination! I didn't expect the show to be so good! MUST WATCH! I love all the songs in this musical. Superb acting by the cast! The main characters are very good! I was very impressed by George Chan (perhaps better recognised for being one of the judges on the Dance Floor competition). Excellent diction, great singing. But the best performance has to go to Joanna Dong as Cat and Water! Really impressed by her expressive body language! Hurry go grab your tickets now! The musical runs till 2 Sep 07. Don't miss it!
Oh ya. Feeling nostalgic and having thoroughly enjoyed myself, I bought a collection of songs by 梁文福 autographed by the man himself! :)

A-Mei - 如果你也听说
My fav A-Mei song in years. Frankly, her songs in the last few albums really cannot make it!
A-Mei World Tour 2007
A-Mei's finally coming back! Sigh.... but no one wants to watch the concert this time round.... not even my a-mei concert kaki.... and my bro's so busy he didn't bat an eyelid when I said I'll treat him to go... hmm.... looks like i'll have to contend myself with the concert DVD.... persevere!!

Happy Birthday to LH!
Went to LH's fav cafe chain to celebrate her birthday, tcc around raffles place. My second visit to the arty-farty 2nd storey of this branch. Due to the drawings that were on sale on the wall, photography is prohibited. On my first visit, the super diligent waitress was hounding on us not to take photos. Maybe it was LH's birthday and perhaps we were in a not-so conspicuous corner, we were slightly luckier last night! hehe!
Sitting on the bean bags was a challenge. Definitely not for girls in skirts. The bean bag seemed to be able to swallow you up and empower you in its grasp. Legs just seemed to go numb naturally after a while. Getting up or changing position was a struggle. hehe. Nonetheless, if you could find a nice position, it is a good place to relax, chill out and nuah (rot) in. (",)

Tom Ton @ The Central
Walked around the Central briefly after dinner. Didn't like the layout of the building, whoever is the architect, I think he did a horrible job! The layout is not conducive to business and shopping, corridors too narrow and the lanes leading to shops looked like they were leading to the lifts or toilets instead! lol. I think the only compelling reason to bring me back to this place would be to try out the japanese restaurants. Saw the queue at Marutama Ramen! will try it one of these days!

NDP @ Marina Bay 2007
This is my very first NDP, watching the parade live i mean, not on TV. Getting the ballot for the tickets was like striking lottery as there were considerably lesser tickets this year. But the novelty of winning the tickets wear off quite fast…. I don’t seemed to be very excited as the day approaches…. Not even the prospect of seeing fireworks right under my nose. Perhaps it is the dreaded crowds that I abhor and the lure of my comfy couch… hee.....
Well, wanting to get a good seat and to perhaps beat the queue, we set off to the Bay at 2.30pm. By the time we reached the Bay, there was already a queue! All typical kiasu Singaporeans like us! Hehe. We were seated at the Green sector. Had to walk a little further and a distance from the orchestra. But we were near the Sheares Bridge where the repelling divers were, which sort of compensated for it.
I tried to take some photos of the action. But I was sitted in the middle of the row which restricted my movement and my cam has only 3x optical zoom…… which missed most of the action on the stage. *sigh*
Personally, I felt the atmosphere was not as high as I thought it would be. Quite quiet in my opinion. Perhaps it is due to my "neighbours". Well, to give them credit, we waved our flags when told, and screamed when prompted. I must admit it is a visual feast with all the lights, water, sound and fireworks. But a pity there is no voiceover like on TV. (I never knew that!) And the performers look like ants from my seat! (even though I'm at the centre half of the seating gallery) *lol*
Well all in all, it is a good experience under the blue skies at the Bay. Thankfully the weather was beautiful and did not leave a mark on my arms. Windy, cloudy sky.... I like the clouds today.. That is why you can see them featured in a number of the pics here. Pics not very well taken but they are my heart and sweat! hehe!

I am very fascinated by the clouds today.

Pulau Ubin
Back to Pulau Ubin after 10years... Took a lot of pics but none seemed to really grab my attention now... Think I would come back again another day to see Chek Jawa in its glory during low tide. Cos we didn't see much wildlife except for some mudskipper, tiny crabs and mosquitoes... hee... : p
Special thanks to WL for ferrying me, AL and YS for making this trip enjoyable!

My resolution for the year: Learn to ride a bicycle! (Do you hear me Queen!? lets go learn together, ok!)
