Tom Ton @ The Central

Finally got a chance to visit this place after it opened recently. Went to dine at Tom Ton Japanese restaurant which specialises in Black Pig. Ordered the Tonkatsu set that came with the usual cabbage salad, soup, rice and fruits. Nothing special with the cabbage salad. They had a weird tasting plum sauce for the salad. Something different but I still prefer the sesame dressing at Tonkichi. Surprisingly the meat of the black pig is white not black! Nice crispy tonkatsu but I find the black pig is marinated a little too salty. The mustard slightly too strong. But the combi of tonkatsu with mustard is just perfect. hehe. :p

Walked around the Central briefly after dinner. Didn't like the layout of the building, whoever is the architect, I think he did a horrible job! The layout is not conducive to business and shopping, corridors too narrow and the lanes leading to shops looked like they were leading to the lifts or toilets instead! lol. I think the only compelling reason to bring me back to this place would be to try out the japanese restaurants. Saw the queue at Marutama Ramen! will try it one of these days!
