Ichiban Boshi @ Velocity

Was starving after the workout and 15 shots at archery so ordered the Sukiyaki Zen set. Also shared soft shell crab tempura which was ordinary.

But my jaw almost dropped when i saw my Sukiyaki set. The set comprises of claypot beef with assorted vegetables and mushrooms, a small portion of udon, appetiser, 4 slices of salmon sashimi, miso soup with an enormous serving of kelp, rice and 2 slices of watermelon. Not to forget a raw egg dip for the beef. The portion is BIG! Enough to feel two girls!

Special mentions:

Sashimi - very fresh, thick and crunchy! oishii!

Sukiyaki - the beef was very tender and succulent. my only "beef" (pun intended. :D) was that the slices are cut too longish and the whole lump was dumped into the pot before serving. i had to take out the whole chunk of beef before it was overcooked and became tough. it might be better if it was like the beef kaminabe that my friend ordered where she did the "cooking" herself. The soup was a little salty. Other than that, I really could not find any other fault in the food today.

Cost of the Set: $15.90 ++

Satisfaction on my face after finishing the set minus half a bowl of rice: Priceless! :)
