Tian Jin (United) Restaurant

The annual CNY gathering with a bunch of ex-co-workers finally changed location. First visit to this Chinese restaurant @ Chinatown. We ordered the CNY set meal for 10 pax. But as there were 12 of us, we added some more dishes that were on 50% discount. The set meal is average with some hits and misses. i thought the fish maw with crabmeat soup, the toufu with abalone dish and the pork rib dish are quite nice. And i thought you simply can't go wrong with the yusheng but this place serves the yuckiest yusheng i've ever eaten. No taste at all. Those additional orders were so-so only too. Total damage $46.50 per pax. The weirdest thing is when the organiser called to reserve a table, she was told that the place was full. Ahem! We were the only table occupied half the time we were there. (-_-")

The party was to continue with drinks but somehow it was disbanded abruptly. So i bought a hot fudge sundae to eat on the way to the station and finally ended up at Outram feeling more satisfied. :p
