Decisions

How many decisions do you make in a day?? What time shall I wake up? What to eat for breakfast? Should I pair my skirt with a pink or white top? What should I do when I step into the office? Where to go for lunch? Shall I buy that extra pair of shoes??........... The list goes on and on..... decisions small and big do make a difference in your life........ it is a choice that you have to make every single second of your life........ good or bad decision? I think there is no good or bad..

At that point in time when you make that decision, it is a good decision. Since you made that decision, it must be good. It has to be good. Otherwise, you would not have made that decision, would you? Some people can make up their mind very fast. Me? Friends often say I always take ages to decide....... Well....... I do agree...... Perhaps I am more cautious?? But there are times when I am irrational as well..... Perhaps I do not want to be hasty and regret in my decision later? But there are times whereby I do think that I did not make a right choice even after much consideration....... Or maybe because this is typical of a Libra?? I've read that people born under the sign Libra are often weighing the pros and cons.... that's what the scales are for, isn't it?? hehe.

One of the toughest decisions I am considering recently........... is whether to go for Lasik or not...... You see, I am severely myopia... 900R 1150L with 125astig each. I can't see your facial expression clearly even if you are sitting at arm's length.. I have been wearing glasses since Pri 1 and I thought how good it would be to be able to see clearly without aid....

But not all are suitable for lasik surgery so I decided to go for a pre-lasik assessment to see if I am a good candidate. Just choosing the place to do lasik and who to do it for you took me quite some time..... In the end, I chose to go to the hospital instead of the private clinics. I chose a senior consultant cos they should have more experience right? The doc told me that I am a very good candidate for the surgery as I have very thick cornea. In case you do not know what lasik is, well, it is a surgery to correct your eye sight. The doc will create a flap in your cornea then use laser to burn away some of your cornea to shape it to the "perfect" shape to attain perfect eyesight. The flap will then be placed back in position and left to heal by itself. This roughly summaries the process in layman's terms. Back to where I was saying.... The doc said that I have thick cornea which is good cos they need more to cut back as I have high myopia and astig.... but the doc only gives me 70% chance of attaining good eyesight without the need for specs.... I was like, what?? only 70%?! I do understand that they do not want me to have too high expectations, but then it seems that she was trying to dissuade me from the surgery..... So now, I'm still considering..... (-_-")

hmm.. i heard those with high degree.. most of the time to get back 100% full recovery is difficult.. however, it can lessen the degree.. so.. if you are thinking about the aspect of saving on spectacle.. the lesser the degree the cheaper the lens right? keke.. but well, do really think through before making decision..:)
